We have an opportunity at our Fantech VIC office located in Dandenong South for a proactive Design Engineer to join our Engineering team.
Job Description
The Role
Design, redesign, and develop new or existing air movement products.
Assist in product customisation for special commercial and industrial applications.
Produce manufacturing drawings and write Bills of Materials.
Assembly of prototypes and fan performance testing.
Use Engineering knowledge and tools to determine suitability of products for their purposes.
Assist in the investigation of Quality Assurance problems as related to design issues.
Liaise with suppliers in regard to design and quality issues.
Assist with problem solving for applications and installations.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree qualification.
3-5 years' experience in a mechanical engineering role.
Strong Solidworks skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and report writing skills.
Strong analytical critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
Be an excellent self-starter, be resourceful and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong computer software skills such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
