Currently, there is an opportunity at our Dandenong South office for a Part Time Accounts Payable officer (25hrs per week) for a fixed 13-month contract to join our exceptional Accounts team.

Job Description

The Role: 

  • Preparing invoices for processing – both local and overseas.
  • Processing Accounts Payable Transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Reconciling creditors' accounts.
  • Liaise with Suppliers and other Accounts Payable/ Branch personnel staff across the business to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Credit Application processing for new suppliers.
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, when required.
  • Meeting month-end close deadlines

 Who are you?

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the ability to quickly adapt and maintain strong organisational skills in our fast-paced, dynamic sector. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver quality work
  • Experience in accounting systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience within the distribution industry would be advantageous, but not essential
  • A team-oriented attitude
