Burra Steel, a proud member of the world-leading air movement specialists Fantech Group, invites applications for the role of Factory Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Korumburra. Our advanced manufacturing capabilities produce high-quality sheet metal and welding components for commercial and industrial air movement systems. We're seeking a proactive and results-driven individual to optimize operations, foster a positive culture, and lead our talented team.

Job Description

The Role:

  • Schedule production processes and oversee workflows to meet delivery timelines and targets.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve productivity and streamline operations.
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure products meet KPIs and delivery performance.
  • Generate production reports and forecast completion dates.
  • Train, support, and lead team members to ensure effective performance and a positive team culture.
  • Lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance with OH&S procedures, and report hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Maintain equipment and resolve technical issues to keep operations running smoothly.

Desired Skills and Experience

Who are you?

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably with exposure to both sheet metal and welding processes.
  • Previous experience in or ability to learn CNC controls.
  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and instructions.
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and utilizing engineering and assembly drawings, as well as manufacturing and quality procedures.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to effectively use the Company's computer system for stores-related purposes.
