We are looking for State Manager to join our team in Huntingwood to lead our drive for growth in the NSW market. You will enjoy working with a supportive and highly committed team and be part of a business that has people at the forefront of its’ culture.

Job Description

The Role:

  • Leading the NSW sales function to achieve sales, margin and profitability targets, driving sustainable growth across all business units.
  • Guiding and assisting sales personnel from the identification of sales prospects and initial enquiries through to negotiations and supply.
  • Managing, mentoring, developing and motivating sales staff and measuring their performance against agreed objectives.
  • Preparing technical proposals and quotations and managing the sales process.
  • Assessing local market conditions, identifying current and prospective sales opportunities and developing forecasts, financial objectives and business plans for the state.
  • Designing and implementing technical training programs in conjunction with Group Vendors and internal / external sources to maintain desired skills sets within the branch.
  • Constantly monitoring pricing structures and market prices to ensure the prime objectives of budgeted sales and margins are met.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful you will need:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and experience, preferably in the HVAC industry
  • Experience in managing staff and leading a sales team
  • To be highly motivated, hands on and committed to achieving sales growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organisation and with customers 
  • Excellent computer skills
