We have an opportunity at our Dandenong South office for an Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month maternity leave cover.
Job Description
The Role:
Responsible for Tax Compliance including preparation and lodgement of GST, Payroll Tax, FBT and Income Tax returns.
Coordinate and manage year-end audits for the Group.
Prepare annual financial statements (standalone and consolidated).
Prepare monthly reports, trial balance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support the preparation of annual budgets and month-end reporting.
Provide financial insights and analysis to assist management decisions.
Assist with internal control reviews and support finance staff across branches.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
The ideal candidate should have:
A Business Degree in Accounting, with CA or CPA accreditation.
Five to ten years’ post qualification experience covering financial accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance.
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge to comply with Australia and New Zealand requirements.
Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in financial software.
Public practice experience highly regarded.
