Step into a pivotal leadership role in a fast-moving, project-based manufacturing environment.
At NCS Acoustics, we’re specialists in steel fabrication and installation — delivering tailored, engineered solutions across the construction, infrastructure, and commercial sectors. As we continue to grow and take on increasingly complex and high-profile projects, we’re seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee our full production lifecycle — from fabrication to delivery and installation.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your manufacturing and operational leadership expertise will directly influence our performance, safety, and customer outcomes. You'll be working closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Site teams to ensure our production and site operations are tightly integrated, efficient, and aligned with our commercial goals.
About You:
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in operational leadership within a fabrication, metal manufacturing, or heavy industry environment.
- Strong understanding of project-based manufacturing workflows, particularly where fabrication, installation, and delivery timelines intersect.
- Proven ability to manage complex shopfloor environments and site activities simultaneously.
- Hands-on familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
- Commercially astute — able to forecast, track, and control production costs, labour, and job margins.
- A confident communicator who builds trust and clarity between Engineering, Production, and Field teams.
- Desirable: Demonstrated experience in the delivery of major construction or infrastructure projects in NZ, with a sound understanding of industry standards, site protocols, and regulatory frameworks.
- Qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial Management are advantageous but not essential.
